Video Conference Platform – Update RC20220513 to all Zones
Canada Zone European Union Zone United States ZoneWe have successfully pushed an update to all instances residing in the United States, Canada and the European Union. This release focuses on adding additional participants on video, improving connection stability and improving speaker detection.
- Expansion of Gallery View to Allow 25 Users with the use of Pagination
Continuing our efforts to facilitate large user Video Conference sessions, the Gallery View has been updated to show up to 25 users to a page. Working in conjunction with our enhanced speaker detection.
- Improved Speaker Detection
A new speaker logic was implemented to more accurately recognize the direct speaker, as opposed to catching background noise, bringing the speaker to the main view. In addition, this improvement will lower CPU usage, allowing your device to perform at a more optimal level.
- Updated UI to Mirror Performance Optimization and Enhanced Speaker Detection Logic
Adding the use of pagination to make better use of the space and colored indicators to indicate who is speaking. - Support Video Conference Access via Microsoft Edge
We are pleased to announce our compatibility with Microsoft Edge. In addition to Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari, users will now be able to launch and access Video Conference sessions with Microsoft Edge. - Enhance Responsiveness of Media Sources
To improve the user experience, the audio and video source can be toggled on/off in a seamless manner, allowing users to quickly and easily participate in the discussion.
- Improve Stability of Video Conference Sessions
Through a bundle of changes, including the use of a dedicated server and a centralized connection state store, users will now experience fewer connection-related issues and faster response times when utilizing source selection toggles.

YuJa Himalayas for Data Archiving and Compliance – Update RC20220309-Midcycle Released to US, CAN, and EU Zones
Canada Zone European Union Zone United States ZoneWe have successfully pushed an update to all instances residing in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. This release focuses on new Zoom import options, as well as a refreshed UI for the Zoom Enterprise Connector.
- Admin Option to Modify Streams for Zoom Imports
After a user records a video on Zoom they are given different display views of that recording. This update allows Administrators to select the specific display of imported Zoom recordings. To learn more about this feature, please click here. - Refreshed User Interface for the Zoom Integration Settings
This update refreshes the look of the Zoom integration settings by organizing the layout and usability of the configurations. Splitting the layout into three separate tabs: Integration Setup, User Provisioning, and Import Configuration.

YuJa Himalayas for Data Archiving and Compliance – Update RC20220218 Released to US, CAN, and EU Zones
Canada Zone European Union Zone United States ZoneWe have successfully pushed an update to all instances residing in the United States, Canada and the European Union. This release focuses on providing users the ability to Undo a completed Archive Job, new Data Policy attributes, improvements to the WebEx Enterprise Connector, Archive Alert customizations, and more.
Keep in mind that many of the capabilities provided by YuJa’s Himalayas Team are also available to customers that license only the Enterprise Video Platform.
- Ability to Undo Archive Jobs in Job Management Dashboard
To easily revert an Archive Job, Administrators can now Undo archive Jobs directly from the Job Management dashboard. This will undo all files included in the Job. To learn more about this feature, please click here.
- Policy Creator Now Offers the Ability to Filer by Locked Videos Attribute
This update provides Administrators the ability to filter and display Locked Videos (locked videos are those submitted as a video assignment by students). To learn more about this feature, please click here.
- CSV Report Now Includes User’s First + Last Names and E-mail Addresses
When Administrators export a CSV file from the Data Management tab, the e-mailed file will now contain the user’s first and last names, alongside their e-mail addresses. This allows Administrators to easily follow-up with users.
- Ability to Customize Media Archive Alert Notification to Content Owners
Administrators will now be able to customize notification e-mails to inform Content Owners of their media being sent for archiving purposes.
- Additional Details Provided for Archive Jobs
Administrators will now be able to view additional details of an archive Job, including: Total Job Duration, Status, and current Progress Percentage. To learn more about this feature, please click here.
- Ability to View All Files Associated with Job
Users are now able to View All Files associated with an archive Job, alongside the Status for each individual file. For unsuccessful archived files, an explanation will be provided and remedies will be suggested in the Message column. To learn more about this feature, please click here.
- Bulk Enrollment for Webex Users
Administrators will now be able to Bulk Enroll users to receive imported Webex videos in their Media Library. To learn more about this feature, please click here.
- Notifications for Blackboard Collaborate & Webex Bulk Enrollment
Administrators can now receive a notification in the Audit Log when a user has performed a bulk enrollment for the Blackboard Collaborate and Webex integrations.

YuJa Panorama for Digital Accessibility – Update 20220204 Released to US, CAN, and EU Zones

- Improved Accessibility Engine to Better Detect Language and Color Contrast Issues
We have improved the underlying engine that is responsible for detecting Language and Color Contrast issues present in documents. This includes doing a better job of Instructors when a portion of a document is written in a language different than the default for the document. We also have tuned the sensitivity of our Contrast checker to ensure that the probability of a false positive is reduced. - Improved Speech-to-Text Engine for Multi-Column Microsoft Word Documents
The Accessibility Engines have been improved to better detect column formatting when performing speech-to-text operations on Microsoft Word documents. The result is more accurate narration of the file.

Video Conference Platform – Update RC20220121 to all Zones
Canada Zone European Union Zone United States ZoneWe have successfully pushed an update to all instances residing in the United States, Canada and the European Union. This release focuses on providing users a refreshed UI layout that is aesthetically and functionally pleasing.
- Refreshed UI Layout + Increased Number of Video Participants In addition to providing users a refreshed UI layout, we have increased the number of on-video participants to 20 (with up to 200 total participants as before). This allows for the easier exchange of ideas and enhance overall collaborative experience. For future releases, we intend to increase the number of participants to 25 and incrementally through the course of 2022 attaining 200 on-video participants.
- Ability to Switch Between Sidebar View and Gallery View Users can now select a view type that best caters to their needs. Participants can opt to hold their meetings in the Sidebar View (as depicted above), allowing them to easily view all participants through the pagination feature. Or, they can opt for the traditional Gallery View. For future releases, we intend to provide more functional opportunities such as the ability to pin viewers.
- Optimized Performance & Resolved Minor Bugs To provide our users an enhanced Video Conference experience, we have resolved several minor bugs and issues.

This release prioritizes making Panorama accessible to users of Blackboard 3800 and higher versions. This release also focuses on providing users easier management of content, enhanced security, and a number of optimizations.
- Panorama Now Supported on Blackboard 3800+ via Browser Extension for Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple’s Safari
We have now made Panorama available for users of Blackboard 3800 and higher versions through a downloadable browser extension. Users can download the extension on a browser of their choice, including: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple’s Safari. Moreover, while we currently support non-ultra courses, we intend to support Blackboard Ultra courses for future releases. To allow for easier management of content, users will now be able to remove documents from Panorama through the LTI application. This will not remove users’ files from their Learning Management System. To learn more about this feature, please click here.

In addition to resolving minor bugs, we continue to stand firm on our promise of making learning accessible for all students. Thus, we have strengthened the efficiency and accuracy of issue detection for doc(x) files. YuJa Himalayas for Data Archiving and Compliance – Update RC20211210 Released to US, CAN, and EU Zones
Canada Zone European Union Zone United States ZoneWe have successfully pushed an update to all Himalayas instances residing in the United States, Canada and the European Union. This update focuses on providing users an enhanced data management experience by offering new sorting and filtering capabilities, and, automatically uploading and organizing users recordings from a variety of third-party video conferencing software.
Keep in mind that many of the capabilities provided by YuJa’s Himalayas Team are also available to customers that license only the Enterprise Video Platform.
- Support for Zoom LTI Pro Provides Automatic Uploading of Zoom Meetings in Media Channel (Available to EVP Customers Too)
When an instructor completes a Zoom meeting in their course using the Zoom LTI Pro connector (available in the Zoom Marketplace), this update will now provide an option to automatically upload their recording and make it visible for students. This removes the responsibility off instructors in having to upload their Zoom media.
- Policy Creator Now Offers the Ability to Add File Size and Video Length as Rules (Available to EVP Customers Too)
This update provides Administrators the ability to filter content by File Size and Video Length. When selected, users will be able to refine their search by entering a video length and file size value.
- Distinguish Between Blackboard Collaborate Recordings with the Inclusion of a Timestamp (Available to EVP Customers Too)
To help content owners distinguish between Blackboard Collaborate recordings, Administrators can enable the inclusion of the date and timestamp in video titles. To learn how to enable this feature, please click here.
- Designated Folders for Imported Webex, Blackboard Collaborate, and Microsoft Teams Recordings in Media Library (Available to EVP Customers Too)
To replicate what was offered for imported Zoom recordings, designated folders will now be created in users Media Library for imported Webex, Blackboard Collaborate, and Microsoft Teams videos.
- Bulk Enrollment for Blackboard Collaborate Videos (Available to EVP Customers Too)
Administrators will now be able to bulk enroll users to receive imported Blackboard Collaborate videos in their Media Library.
- ‘Delete Optional Transcodes’ Notification in Audit Logs (Available to EVP Customers Too)
This update will provide Administrators a notification when the ‘Delete Optional Transcodes’ rule has run with a policy. Users will be able to filter results by selecting ‘Recurrent Action Performed’.
- Ability to Sort Files by Date Added and Last Viewed (Available to EVP Customers Too)
This update allows Administrators to easily sort content by Date Added (oldest to newest) and Last Viewed.
