A new Media Collection page will provide administrators with comprehensive content analytics and advanced filtering capabilities for better decision-making. With this release, administrators will be able to view institution-wide content performance and easily filter analytics by specific groupings, such as folders and courses.

Content owners will be able to edit video metadata directly from the video player’s Resources panel without navigating to separate pages. The Video Info section will allow users with appropriate permissions to modify titles, descriptions, and tags through inline editing controls.

Monthly Usage Reports Will Be Automatically Emailed to Platform Administrators
Administrators will receive automated monthly email reports highlighting platform usage and trends. Emails will provide administrators with at-a-glance insights into platform performance and user engagement.

Account Security Enhancement Will Suspend Users After Consecutive Failed Login Attempts
A new security setting will allow administrators to automatically suspend user accounts after 10 consecutive failed login attempts within a 3-day period. This feature will send email notifications to both the affected user and all IT managers when an account is suspended.

We’ve partnered with 3Play Media to offer support for live human captioning during scheduled livestream sessions through 3Play Media to improve accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing participants. Organizers can enable professional Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services by checking the Live human captioning box when scheduling a session.
Once administrators provide their 3Play Media API key, the new integration connects your live stream directly with professional captioners who provide real-time, high-accuracy captions that sync with your content.

Automatically Transfer Quiz Ownership
When a video’s ownership is changed, any associated quizzes automatically transfer to the new owner to help ensure that new video owners gain complete access to all quizzes, quiz grade books, and analytics without manual reassignment. The transfer maintains all quiz configurations while providing the new owner with full management capabilities.

Anonymous Quiz Identification Provides More Flexibility
We’ve introduced a new Allow quiz to be taken anonymously setting for video quizzes shared via Direct Link or Embed Code. When enabled, this setting gives test-takers three options: proceed anonymously, provide a guest name for better identification in the Gradebook, or authenticate through the portal. By default, users are now directed to portal authentication unless anonymous access is specifically enabled by the content creator. This balances the need for institutions requiring guest participation tracking.

When enabled, a master, or “blueprint” course, serves as the blueprint for all linked courses, automatically adding quizzes to all copied courses. This eliminates manual republishing when updating content. The feature works with all quiz publishing methods and also applies when unpublishing content.

We’ve improved the live-streaming experience with intelligent connection management that maintains stream continuity during network interruptions. When a connection is lost, viewers now see a “Connection lost” notification while the system attempts reconnection. The system automatically resumes the stream if the connection is restored or removes the notification if the interruption persists.

- Specify the Media Player’s Language When Directly Linking or Embedding Videos
To meet multilingual accessibility standards across websites, the YuJa Video Platform now allows you to specify the language of the Media Player interface before embedding or directly linking to a video. The supported languages are Dutch, Finnish, Portuguese, French, and Spanish. Simply copy the link of a media file and add “&lang=” followed by the short form of your desired language.
- Share Direct Links or Embed Codes of Media Files with Enhanced Audio Description Enabled
After generating Enhanced Audio Descriptions for your media files, you can now share the media link or copy the embed code with Enhanced Audio Descriptions automatically enabled.
- Bulk Import an XML File to Upload Metadata Values for the Multi-Select Feature
If you have a predefined list of metadata values to import as an XML file, you can now do so when creating a Multi-Select metadata field. Simply upload the file or paste its link to auto-fill your values.
- New Option to Edit Comments
Need to correct your comment? You can now simply edit it instead of having to delete and rewrite your thoughts.

This allows for pinpoint accuracy on where you would like the Enhanced Audio Descriptions to be read, by positioning the playback bar at the desired scene and writing out your descriptions.

Have an SRT or VTT file ready for your Enhanced Audio Descriptions? Simply upload it directly to your video for Enhanced text-to-speech Audio Descriptions. If you need to update the file, our Enhanced Audio Description editor makes it easy to make manual adjustments. Plus, if your platform has the GenAI PowerPack enabled, you can use Gen AI to enhance and update your existing descriptions.
- The Media Player Pauses and Narrates Videos with Embedded Text-to-Speech Audio Descriptions
In traditional cases where audio descriptions are provided, natural pauses in dialogue may not provide sufficient time to describe the scenes for those who need assistance. To address this issue, the Media Player automatically pauses videos to read your Enhanced Audio Descriptions in a natural way that provides enough time for viewers to understand the entire context of the scene.
- Pin Frequently Used Folders and Channels to the Video Platform’s Sidebar
Easily keep track of important folders and channels by pinning them to the sidebar on the Manage Media page. In a future release, we will provide additional account-level and institutional-level customization capabilities.
- Protect Your Account With Two-Factor Authentication
As an institution admin, you can manage two-factor authentication on a role basis for all non-admin and admin users. This will ensure that when you or other users attempt to sign in to the Video Platform, they will be required to enter a six-digit authentication code sent to their email. By default, this feature is enabled for admins and can be managed for all roles by navigating to the Admin Panel > Platform > Platform Settings > Additional Options > Security & Privacy.
- The Authentication Page Has Been Updated With a New Modernized Interface
If you are not logged into the Video Platform when you access a direct link, you will see our new authentication page, which is better aligned with our branding theme by providing an updated color palette and visuals.
- Instructors Can Access the Content Report for Videos Through the Media Details Window
As an instructor and course owner, you can now easily access the Content Report for any video through its Media Details window. This will ensure when you’re in a course, you never have to manually navigate to the Content Report to see video analytics. - More Streamlined Publishing Capabilities for Recordings
Previously, only after creating a recording did you have the option to publish it to your desired channels and save it to personal folders. Now, you can customize the publish and save locations anytime before or after the recording by accessing the settings for the Browser Capture.
- Improved the Responsiveness for the Usage & Analytics Content Report

- Brand New Browser Capture Studio UI With Auto-Upload Capabilities
We’ve modernized the Browser Capture interface to streamline your recording process by including the following:- An updated control bar: We’ve replaced the recording control panel with a control bar featuring a modernized design, intuitive navigation buttons, and clearly labeled controls.
- Enhanced recording experience with full-screen capture: Record in full-screen mode while simultaneously sharing both your screen and video, replacing the previous side-by-side view.
- New Picture-in-Picture mode: View your current recording in a floating window that stays visible while you browse other web pages.
- Clear countdown displayed before recording: A 3-second countdown timer is now displayed to help you prepare before recording starts.

Previously, Usage & Analytics Reports were limited to a maximum 12-month period. Now, you can filter reports by date, allowing you to customize the duration and track analytics over multiple years.

As an Epiphan and Extron devices user, you can now access direct links and embed codes for scheduled live sessions in your Hub devices’ session calendar, allowing you to easily share the session details with participants.
- Add Shared Media Files to Your New or Existing Playlists
If you have edit access to shared media files in your Media Library, you can now add them to your existing or new playlists from the Shared With Me folders, making it easier to access these videos. If you’re an administrator, you can also add media files from the Enterprise Tube or User Collections to your playlists.
- New User Interface to Streamline the Course Invitation Workflow and Review Invitee List
After adding users to your course, you can now review and sort the invitee list by name or email to ensure everyone is included. Invited users will receive notifications in both the Video Platform’s notification panel and their email, directing them to the Course Invitation page to review requests.
- Newly Designed Course Invitation Pop-Up Window

- Upgraded Enterprise VideoTube with Slide-Out Channel Bar and New Branding Options
The Enterprise VideoTube has been redesigned with a new slide-out Channel Bar that displays available public channels in an easy-to-view list. Administrators can also update the Enterprise VideoTube branding by customizing the background and text colors of both the Channel Bar and the landing page, as well as using a static masthead image. Over the coming releases, we will be incorporating the ability to create custom pages, playlists, and adding new permission management capabilities.
- Upgraded Content Report with New Data Visualization Capabilities
We’ve significantly enhanced our Content Report by streamlining multiple tabs into a unified, engaging interface. Key highlights of this improvement include:- Improved Summary Cards with at-a-glance statistics and integrated graphs

- New Audio Player Interface with On-Screen Visual Waveform
A new, more modern Audio Player provides listeners with an upgraded experience when listening to audio-only content. The new player design introduces an on-screen visual indicator featuring a colorful waveform that synchronizes with the active audio. This waveform will also dynamically adjust in response to the audio’s volume.
- New Sub-Admin Permission Management Console and Framework
Over the coming releases, the Sub-Admin role configuration will become increasingly flexible. To support this, we have introduced a new Sub-Admin Permission Management Console alongside a Capabilities Framework. This will enable Sub-Admins roles to be more flexibly aligned to Admin Panel Capabilities and, most importantly, Platform-level Capabilities. This more powerful Capabilities framework lays the foundation for unique Sub-Admin job classifications.
- Video Editor Now Offers Light Mode and Dark Mode Options
With recent updates to the Video Editor introducing a dark theme to alleviate eye strain, we are also offering the option to choose a Light Mode for those who prefer a brighter interface.
- Increased Import Speed for Zoom Recordings Ingestion
We have enhanced our import time for Zoom recordings using a newer Zoom architecture that transitions from an hourly “pull” to a synchronized “listener” model where recordings arrive within minutes.
- Comprehensive Activity Tracking and Audit Logging for Video Editor Actions
The Admin Panel’s Activity panel will now track granular actions and will keep track of actions performed within a Video Editor session. This provides admins and our support staff with better tools to support users.

- Institution-Wide Security Privacy Configuration of Student Uploads

Leveraging the new Sub-Admin Capability Framework, Administrators can allow Sub-Admins more control over their institution’s Enterprise VideoTube by permitting them to publish content directly within the Feature Videos section.

We’ve improved our Browser Capture processing pipeline, allowing users to view and select recordings in the Media Chooser even while they are being actively processed.

With the implementation of metadata harvesting, which enables users to utilize APIs for collecting information related to their content’s metadata, we have introduced a new option to restrict API usage according to specified roles: IT Managers, instructors, and students. We have introduced a new branding setting enabling administrators to customize the color of My Media Sidebar folder icons on the Manage Media page, ensuring the icons are accessible with various background colors. Previously, we updated the look of our folders to offer a more accessible design so that users could easily select folders or their action menus. In this release, we’re including the same design to be featured when viewing folders in a list view.

The Import Schedule modal for devices has been updated to feature a two-step process, allowing users to upload XML or CSV files, followed by a review of successfully and unsuccessfully imported schedules.
- Stop Active Recording Sessions by Remotely Managing Recording Tools
Recording sessions through Software Capture, Browser Capture, and the Hardware Hub can now be stopped remotely through the Video Platform by selecting the Stop button on the recording thumbnail.

To help Content Creators easily differentiate between various tools in the Video Editor and enhance their visibility, we have added clearly defined labels to the cut, split, undo, and redo tools.
- Enhanced Visual Search Capabilities for Selecting Users to Share Media With
When selecting a user to share media with, the drop-down list will no longer auto-populate with all users. Instead, it will filter results based on the search query entered.
- Compact List View for Publishing Video Quizzes to Courses
For institutions with a large number of courses, the list of courses available for publishing Video Quizzes could take considerable time to load. We have addressed this by introducing a compact list view, which can be expanded to load additional courses and filtered through the search bar.

Canada Zone European Union Zone YuJa Enterprise Video PlatformWe have successfully pushed an update to all Enterprise Video Platform instances residing in Canada and the European Union. Zones residing in the United States, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia will be updated later this week. The highlights for this update include improvements to the Video Editor, a dedicated Overview page for Campuses under the Umbrella System, updated design interfaces across several areas of the platform, new security ID support PINs, quality-of-life improvements to the Media Chooser, automatic imports for Zoom Room recordings, analytical tracking for time jumps by users, enhanced captioning for live streams, and more.
- Unified Video Editor Slide-Out Sidebar with Access to All Advanced Editing Tools
To enhance the Video Platform’s usability, it now features a sidebar menu for Content Creators to quickly access advanced tools and settings. This consolidates the previous right-hand side panel and the advanced editing tools on the center panel into a single, unified slide-out toolbar.
- Umbrella System – Dedicated Usage & Analytics Overview Page for Campuses
For institutions deploying the Umbrella System Architecture, Administrators responsible for managing campuses within their institution’s hierarchical structure will have access to a dedicated Overview page. This page will display analytics specific to their campus, including data on top-performing videos, active users, and views.
- Updated Interface for the Admin Panel’s Branding Page

We’ve introduced unique ID pins for each account, which automatically change every 24 hours. Users can relay their PIN to our support staff to confirm they have access to the account they need help on.
- New Third-Party Hardware Smart Connectors Required for Integration with Video Platform
Hardware Smart Connectors ensure the integrity of the Video Platform and align with permitted use, similar to integration with third-party video conference tools. Now, all third-party hardware device integrations will require a licensed Smart Connector. All users who use these capabilities should have had their Client Success Manager reach out to them to ensure continued operations of the integration. - Video Editor Supports Ability to Mute Audio Tracks of a Unified Audio-and-Video Stream
The Video Editor features the option to mute audio streams while retaining the video source, allowing Content Creators to remove unwanted audio.
- View Selected Folders within the Media Chooser
The Media Chooser allows users to view which folders they’re searching within.
- New UI to Improve Visual Distinctiveness of Playlists
Playlists feature a new UI that distinguishes them from folders, allowing Content Creators to easily recognize them within their personal library and channels.
- Media Chooser – Browse Files Within Folders When Filtering by Location in the Media Chooser
When choosing a location to filter results, users can toggle the “Show Files” option to view all media content within folders.
- Automatic Imports for Recorded “Zoom Rooms” Meetings
Our existing Zoom integration, which supports automatic imports for Zoom video conference recordings, will also support automatic imports for Zoom Room recordings.
- Video Editor – Updated the Blur Tool to a More Intense Blur Effect

- Improved Live Caption Quality and Stream Sync
We’ve addressed inconsistencies in live captioning, resulting in more accurate captions that will sync with the live stream.
- Video Title Preview for Embedded Media
To help viewers understand what they are about to watch, embedded videos show their titles directly on the thumbnail.
- Phasing Out Support for YouTube Video Imports
Given YouTube’s lack of official support for importing videos into third-party platforms, we will gradually phase out the option of importing YouTube videos to the Video Platform. While we phase out the feature, users who still wish to utilize it can find it under My Account > Integrations.
- Visual Display of Content When Replacing Media
We’ve created a visual display of the content that will be replaced, allowing users to more intuitively recognize the media they’re updating.
