We have successfully pushed an update to all YuJa Panorama for Digital Accessibility instances residing in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. This release focuses on enhanced real-time suggestions for WYSIWYG content, new accessibility profiles and features for webpage and in-LMS page content, an option for Admins and Instructors to reprocess all items within a course, and more.

1. New Real-Time Accessibility Suggestions Available within WYSIWYG Editor
   Building on the Real-time Accessibility Suggestion Engine introduced last release, we have added new accessibility suggestions for WYSIWYG Editor content. Panorama will now make suggestions and prompt instructors to fix issues associated with font size, color contrast, alternative text, and descriptive text. Content Creators will be prompted when there is a detected accessibility issue—which will be flagged as Minor, Major, or Severe—and subsequently offered an appropriate solution.
   
2. Real-Time Improvement Suggestions for Color Contrast When WCAG 2.1 Color Contrast Issues Are Detected
   Suggestions for color contrast allow Content Creators to resolve WCAG 2.1 color contrast issues by choosing from a recommended selection of complementary text or background colors.
   
3. Real-Time Improvement Suggestions for Font Sizes When Font Readability Issues Are Detected
   Font size issues that could affect readability will automatically be detected and easy-to-use recommendations to adjust the text size are provided.
   
4. Customized Website Accessibility Profiles for Motor Impairment, Color Blindness, Dyslexia, Visually Impairments, Seizure-Prone Users, and More
   To make web-based content more accessible to viewers, we have implemented an improved layout alongside one-click Accessibility Profiles, which will automatically alter the website or LMS content for viewers with: motor impairments, color blindness, visual impairments, dyslexia, ADHD, cognitive or learning disabilities, and those prone to seizures.
5. Addition of Font Face Designed to Be Easier to Read for Dyslexic Users
   Further enhancements include the addition of Comic Sans to the list of Readable Fonts, and a customizable option for the Reading Guide.
   
6. Ability to Reprocess All Documents Within a Course To Take Advantage of Newly Introduced Accessibility Engine Enhancements
   Admins and Instructors who wish to re-generate Alternative Formats and Accessibility Reports for a course may do so with the click of a button. Simply access your Course Report or Content tab within the Panorama LTI app and select Reprocess Course.
   
7. Support for Moodle Books
   In continuing to integrate Panorama into new areas of Moodle, we now generate Alternative Formats and an Accessibility Score for Moodle Books. Future updates will further expand Panorama into other areas such as Discussion Topics and Moodle Chapters.
   

We have successfully pushed an update to all YuJa Verity for Test Proctoring Platform instances residing in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. This update provides our users with an improved user experience for the Review Video Player, custom Exam Agreements, asynchronous support integrated into the Verity Recording Panel, and several improvements and bug fixes across Canvas and Moodle instances.

1. New Review Video Player UI Featuring Flagged Timestamps
   We have provided our users with a sleek redesign of the Review Video Player UI. Instructors will be able to view detected flags as timestamps, citing when the issue was detected, along with a complete description of the potential issue.
2. Asynchronous Support Resources Integrated into the Verity Recording Panel
   Our Verity support team is here to help! With our new Assistance feature, students can visit our support guides or connect with our dedicated team through ticket, email, or call our toll-free number for immediate assistance.
   
3. New Quick Setup Guide for Students
   In recognizing the need to provide students with clear instructions on how to enable Verity for their proctoring session, we have implemented a quick-start guide for Verity-enabled quizzes. Students may access the guide from the Quizzes tab and follow these three easy steps: launch the Chrome browser, install the Verity plugin, and navigate to the Quiz page.
4. Improved Our Server-Side Monitoring
   Additional infrastructure has been deployed to monitor the server-side load in real-time, allowing us to collect metrics for YuJa Verity to improve stability for existing infrastructures.
5. Custom Exam Agreements Available for Institutions
   Canvas and Moodle Administrators will be able to implement custom Exam Agreements specific to their institution’s exam policies. Students must agree to the terms before beginning their proctored session. Please visit our support guides to learn how to add Exam Agreements to your Moodle or Canvas instance.
6. Optimized Performance & Resolved Bugs
   • Screen-capture recordings are initiated at the start of quizzes.
   • Canvas students now have access to Verity-enabled quizzes through the Modules and Grades tab.
   • Resolved an issue where some students’ names were not appearing in the Results tab for completed quizzes or would appear multiple times for repeated attempts.
   • Fixed Moodle “Start Attempt” dialog preventing access to quizzes.
   • Resolved Disable New Tab feature allowing tabs to open under certain conditions.

We have successfully pushed an update to all YuJa Verity for Test Proctoring Platform instances residing in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. This is a new product and this update provides our users with an improved UI for the Verity Results table, a new plugin to block quiz access without YuJa Verity, the YuJa Verity Panel, and optimization improvements for the Moodle platform.

1. Enhanced UI Experience for the Verity Results Table
   We are pleased to introduce our new Results table. Through our new filtering settings, Instructors will find it easier than ever to see and review quiz attempts by students. Filter seamlessly through student names, suspicious activity levels, submission start dates, and submission end dates for quizzes.
   
2. New Plugin to Block Quiz Access Without YuJa Verity Enabled 
   To provide Instructors and Students with reliable quiz proctoring, we have introduced a new plugin to ensure Students are unable to access Verity quizzes without the YuJa Verity extension enabled. This feature can be added for Canvas and Moodle LMS platforms (D2L and Blackboard coming soon).
3. Support for Incognito Windows in Chrome
   Verity-enabled quizzes are now accessible through incognito windows in Chrome.
4. Introducing the YuJa Verity Recording Panel
   The YuJa Verity panel offers students a live view of their recording, as well as zoom adjustment levels for their screen. Future updates for the Recording Panel will focus on providing tools for students to utilize, such as the ability to have an on-screen calculator, a whiteboard tool, and the option to ask our amazing team for direct assistance regarding YuJa Verity.
   
5. Optimized Compatibility Issues for all Moodle Instances
   We have optimized compatibility issues related to several Moodle quiz features. More improvements will follow in subsequent minor and patch releases next week.

We have released a new Hardware Hub (5 series) firmware update that is available for update. This update provides our users with NDI camera compatibility, HDMI and SDI-embedded audio preview, as well as includes 20+ smaller fixes and improvements. Please contact your Customer Success Manager to request an update.

1. NDI-Compatible Cameras Are Now Supported on the YuJa Hardware Hub
   In recognizing the need for institutions to manage remote video sources, we now support NDI compatibility. Simply connect your NDI-enabled camera to the network to take advantage of this feature. Manage your video preview, stream quality, recording resolution, and embedded video and audio sources when configuring your NDI-compatible cameras. 2. View Embedded Audio for HDMI and SDI Sources
   We have provided Admins the option to listen to embedded audio previews for their connected sources directly from the Devices tab within the Admin Panel.

We have successfully pushed an update to all instances residing in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. This update provides our users with a new Recurring Jobs tab, accurate file size representation, improvements to file restoration, and enhanced UI across Himalayas.

1. New Recurring Jobs Tab to View Active Data Management Policies
   Viewing all active and recurring Data Policies is now easier than ever. The new Recurring Jobs tab offers a comprehensive overview of recurring tasks associated with installed Data Policies. Admins have a quick snapshot of the Data Policy and its occurrence. We have also provided a View All button to showcase the list of files associated with the Data Policy.
   
2. Improved the Restore Behavior for Files
   We have made several improvements to the behavior of restored files. Administrators will now find it easier to manage and locate files within their Video Platform instance.
   • Files will be automatically restored to their original folder.
   • If the original folder no longer exists, Himalayas will restore the folder with the file.
   • If the original folder has been renamed, the file will be restored in the renamed folder.
   • If the Content Owner has been removed from the Video Platform, the file will be restored under the Administrator’s account inside the “Himalayas Restored” folder.
3. Data Explorer Now Offers the Ability to Search by Owner Email
   To expand upon our search filter capabilities for Data Explorer, this update allows Administrators to search for files based on the Content Owner’s email.
   
4. Added an Exclusion List for Videos to Not Be Archived By Recurring Policies
   Recurring policies may schedule a video to be archived again if a Content Owner restores their file. To prevent this from occurring, Administrators will be prompted by Himalayas to add the video to the exclusion list for 90 days to prevent a subsequent archive from taking place.
   
5. Himalayas Now Provides an Automatic Retry Feature for Failed Archives and Restores
   To provide our users with robust archiving and restoring capabilities, we have implemented an automatic retry feature for failed Jobs.
6. Manually Importing Zoom Videos Now Shows Individual Meetings 
   This update refreshes the user interface when users manually import their Zoom recordings. Instead of users seeing individual video streams for a multi-party meeting, the new interface will provide a simple view of the entire meeting as one video.

We have successfully pushed an updated Software Capture for PC binary to all instances residing in the US, Canada and the European Union. This update includes dozens of fixes and improvements based on field log data available from the previous two versions of the new Capture Engine (released in February of this year). Additionally, new capabilities include a Microsoft PowerPoint Ribbon add-in, a new installation option that does not require local admin rights, a new mouse effect optimized for instruction, and a number of WCAG 2.1-aligned color contrast improvements.

1. New Microsoft PowerPoint Ribbon Add-On for Automatically Starting and Stopping the Recording
   The YuJa Software Capture application can be installed as a Ribbon within Microsoft PowerPoint to provide users with a more seamless recording experience. The Ribbon will allow users to automatically sync the start and end of the recording with their presentation session.
   
2. Recording Sessions Can Now Be Extended Via the Devices Tab
   We added a capability to the Devices tab to remotely extend recordings within the Video Platform for registered installations. With a simple click of a button, Admins and Sub-Admins can extend remote recordings.

3. New Installer Option for Non Local Admin Windows Users
   The Alternate Installer will allow users who do not have local administrative rights on their computer to install and change settings within YuJa Software Capture. For those with local administrative permissions, we still recommend downloading the Express Installer to take full advantage of the Software Capture application’s asynchronous upload capability even when logged off.
   
4. Option for an Mouse Effect When the Presenter Clicks on the Screen
   We have implemented an enhancement to the screen recording that can improve the instructional value of a video by providing a small highlight when the Presenter clicks on the screen.
5. Customizable Low Disk Space Warning
   To ensure that users have the appropriate disk space on their device for their recording, we have implemented an improved feature for monitoring device storage. Users can enable and select the threshold of when they would like to be notified if their disk space is running low.
   
6. Option for On-Screen Pause Indicator
   To provide a clear reminder for the Presenter when a recording is paused, we have added an option for an on-screen indicator to let Presenters know when they have paused their recording.
   
7. Improved UI Color Scheme Aligned with WCAG 2.1
   Continuing to stand firm on our promise to make learning accessible to students from a variety of accessible needs, we have further optimized the color palette for our toggle buttons and text to support users with visual difficulties. This will allow users to easily recognize when they have enabled certain devices for their Video, Audio, Screen, and Live sources.
   
8. Minor Keyboard Accessibility Improvement Aligned with WCAG 2.1
   We have improved navigating the Login menu through the Enter key, as well as the ability to select entries more uniformly.

This update provides a new CampusTube video experience, a new Cielo24 human captioning enterprise connector, dynamic feedback for video quizzes, new API, and many WCAG 2.1-aligned accessibility improvements. This update will be released to the United States zones next Friday.

1. New CampusTube Video Portal for Richer Inside-the-Campus Video Distribution
   We have revamped our Shared Folders to create a richer CampusTube video experience that complements the public-facing EnterpriseTube experience. The focus of the new CampusTube experience is to transition the current, staid folder-like view to a more engaging intra-campus video experience. Over the next few release cycles, we will be adding new permissions capabilities, group management capabilities, and auto-provisioning with SAML-based group sets.

   

2. Brand New CampusTube Experience with New Media Channel Playlists
   The Media Channel-style playlists within the CampusTube now offer an improved viewing experience with a layout that mirrors LMS course-linked Media Channels.
   
3. Advanced Media Search Console with Boolean Operators and Filtering Capabilities
   We have improved upon our advanced text-based metadata search capabilities with a new interactive Advanced Search console experience. The Advanced Search Console is focused on providing “power users” with the ability to seamlessly filter through Titles, Folders, Metadata, Comments, Owners, and more along with the ability to join queries with advanced boolean search operators.
   
4. Introducing Cielo24 as a New Third-Party Human Captioning Provider
   Continuing our efforts to provide institutions with the freedom to use their preferred human captioning services, Administrators can now integrate the Video Platform with their Cielo24 account. 5. Video Quizzes Support Ability for Creators to Provide Dynamic Response-Based Feedback
   Content Creators can now provide dynamic feedback for quizzes based on the answers provided by the user.
   
6. Support for oEmbed Open Format for Content Embedding
   Users will be able to embed their Video Platform media content such as videos, documents, and photos directly onto platforms such as WordPress and Drupal that support the oEmbed format.
7. Support for Multiple LTI 1.3 Integrations with a Single Video Platform Instance
   Similar to our LTI 1.1 integration, institutions can now integrate a single Video Platform instance with multiple LTI 1.3 integrations.
8. Facial Recognition Now Offers a View of Individual Faces
   Within the Facial Analysis tab, Content Creators can now view the faces of those recognized by the Facial Recognition tool.

   • Users will now be able to add or remove media files for their desired videos.
   • Text can now be added or deleted from caption or transcript files.
   • Create or delete timestamps for videos.
   • Obtain embed code for folders.
10. Improved Performance for Bulk Transfers
    We have provided a new paginated view of User Collections for Bulk Transfers. The new view will allow Organizations with thousands of individuals to experience faster load times and more responsive operation when transferring media to users and locations within the Video Platform.
    
11. Browser Capture Studio Now Supports Apple Safari
    With Safari version 14 supporting the MediaRecorder API, the Browser Capture can now be used with Apple Safari.
    
12. Ability to Pause/Resume Browser Capture Recordings
    Content Creators using the Browser Capture Studio can now pause and resume their recordings.

    

13. Improvements to Video Platform Accessibility Aligned with WCAG 2.1 Standard
    We have made several improvements to product accessibility aligned with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard, including being able to activate folders via the keyboard with a single key stroke, improved visual cues, refined use of the Escape key, additional alternative text for icons, color correction for visual impairment, and more.

1. Dynamic WYSIWYG Support and Real-Time Accessibility Suggestions
   A major step forward in digital accessibility is now available with our new real-time accessibility suggestions for WYSIWYG text regions. Accessibility Reports will now generate and provide dynamic feedback as Instructors create WYSIWYG content. This enables Panorama to offer real-time accessibility suggestions and solutions to issues surrounding images and URLs that do not contain alternative descriptions. In future releases, we will continue to build upon this initial capability-set around real-time accessibility suggestions.
   
2. Text-to-Speech Can Now Be Translated into Multiple Languages
   Continuing our efforts to make learning accessible to all students, we now provide the option to translate text-to-speech in over twenty languages.
3. Website Accessibility Now Offers Translations for Alternative Formats
   Documents content on a website can now be translated, as well as have their alternative formats supported in over 100 languages.
   
4. Localization Support Added for French and Spanish
   We have added support for French and Spanish to be set as preferred languages through the Panorama LMS app. Once configured, Panorama will display all UI text in your preferred language. To learn how to set your preferred language, please click here.
   
5. Website Accessibility Can Now Be Integrated Directly Into the LMS
   To provide our users with a more customizable experience, we have added several new features to the Website Accessibility tool. To learn about Website Accessibility for Panorama, and the newly added features, please click here. Capabilities include:
   • Have the option to enable Website Accessibility within their LMS at the institutional-level and course-level.
   • Content Creators will now be able to undo/redo changes, save changes for future use, discard all changes
   • Added a Color Adjustment tab to complement our Content Adjustment features.

   

6. Enhanced Menu for Alternative Formats with Ability to Integrate Custom Terms of Use
   In addition to improving the user experience, the Alternative Formats menu has been revised to provide more clear labeling of the various accessibility options. Additionally, a new Help button provides additional details on Alternative Formats.

This release focuses on providing Meeting Owners with the option to manage permissions for attendees, the ability for shared documents and the Whiteboard to be saved as PNG images, improved sharing capabilities, enhancement on screen share connectivity, and WCAG 2.1-aligned accessibility improvements.

1. Meeting Owners Can Grant Permissions to Presenters
   In an effort to give Meeting Owners more control over their video conference, we are introducing specific permissions Meeting Owners can grant Presenters on an individual basis. These permissions include access to the Whiteboard tools, the ability to message in chat, and the permission to share their screen and upload documents. 2. Sharing Screen or Uploading Documents will now Switch to the Presenter’s View
   Previously Presenters and Attendees would only follow the view of the main Presenter. We have now enabled the view to instantly change for all participants when any Presenter begins to share their screen or uploads a document.
3. New “Save as Image” feature Available in Whiteboard
   Meeting Owners and Presenters can now save shared documents and the Whiteboard as PNG images.
4. Improved the Ability for Screen Share to Reconnect when Connection is Lost
   This update will help Presenters and Attendees reestablish a connection for Screen Share that may result from an unstable internet connection.
5. Accessibility Improved Aligned with WCAG 2.10
   We have made several minor changes to how the user interface reacts when navigating your Video Conference. By adjusting the accessibility for certain tabs, adding focus indicators, and improved text for screen readers, we continue to improve upon our existing platform to make learning accessible for all students.
