Video Conference Platform – Update RC20220715 Released to all Zones
Canadian Zones European Union Zones HTML5 Video Conferencing United States ZonesWe have successfully pushed an update to all instances residing in the United States, Canada and the European Union. This release focuses on providing Meeting Owners with the option to manage permissions for attendees, the ability for shared documents and the Whiteboard to be saved as PNG images, improved sharing capabilities, enhancement on screen share connectivity, and WCAG 2.1-aligned accessibility improvements.
- Meeting Owners Can Grant Permissions to Presenters
In an effort to give Meeting Owners more control over their video conference, we are introducing specific permissions Meeting Owners can grant Presenters on an individual basis. These permissions include access to the Whiteboard tools, the ability to message in chat, and the permission to share their screen and upload documents. - Sharing Screen or Uploading Documents will now Switch to the Presenter’s View
Previously Presenters and Attendees would only follow the view of the main Presenter. We have now enabled the view to instantly change for all participants when any Presenter begins to share their screen or uploads a document. - New “Save as Image” feature Available in Whiteboard
Meeting Owners and Presenters can now save shared documents and the Whiteboard as PNG images. - Improved the Ability for Screen Share to Reconnect when Connection is Lost
This update will help Presenters and Attendees reestablish a connection for Screen Share that may result from an unstable internet connection. - Accessibility Improved Aligned with WCAG 2.10
We have made several minor changes to how the user interface reacts when navigating your Video Conference. By adjusting the accessibility for certain tabs, adding focus indicators, and improved text for screen readers, we continue to improve upon our existing platform to make learning accessible for all students.

This release was primarily focused on 35+ internal scalability improvements, performance of key functionality, as well as fixes and product improvements.

The HTML5-based Video Conference now performs stream loading faster with a more refined user experience.
- Clicking the Share Button as an Attendee Takes to the Most Relevant Shared Content
To provide an attendee with an easier experience, now clicking on the Share button in the Top Bar takes them to the most relevant shared content.

- Cleaner More Modern Interface with Improved Action Bar Capabilities
The HTML5-based Video Conference interface has a new look-and-feel that provides a cleaner interface, easier access to key capabilities, and a more intuitive navigation experience.
- New Quick Access Buttons with Click-to-Toggle Capabilities
The new Navigation Bar auto-hides to ensure the visual focus is on the video conference experience rather than the toolset. The buttons also provide handy click-to-toggle between various view modes and sharing tools.
- Improved Video Conference Recording Synchronization
This release includes over 25+ improvements to the video conference recording including audio synchronization.
- Coming Soon – Native YuJa Video Conference for Android Application
This quarter, we also anticipate introducing our beta Video Conference for Android application. This is part of a broader strategy to provide a unified, cross-device video experience for on-demand and synchronous video.

Video Conference Platform – Update RC20200814 Released to All Zones

- More Scalable Phone Dial-In Support with Toll-Free Access Numbers
Previously a beta feature, attendees now have the ability to dial into a video conference. While currently free, future releases will include the ability to purchase bundles of telephone access minutes.
- Streamlined Screensharing Workflow
Now screensharing is even easier with one fewer step to initiate a screenshare.
- Improved Notification Management and User Experience
Notifications now appear in a more structured manner on the right-hand-side of the video conference. Settings including notification sounds, messages and timeout, which are now configurable within the Settings dialog.

Video Conference Platform – Update RC20200724 Released to All Zone
Canadian Zones European Union Zones HTML5 Video Conferencing United States ZonesWe have successfully pushed an update to all instances residing in the United States, Canada and the European Union.
- Video Conference Recordings Are Now Playable in the Media Player
Multi-party video conference recordings with screen, video and audio are now playable directly within the Enterprise Video Platform’s standard Media Player. This means that video conference recordings can now be edited, captioned, downloaded, thumbnailed, etc. with all the same capabilities afforded to standard captures and uploaded videos.
In subsequent releases, we will be adding improved multi-person layouts, removing the interim step where a newly created recording initially plays back using the Video Conference application, and adding the ability for whiteboards and document sharing content to be linked to the recording as an attachment.
- Ability to Limit Access to Video Conference to Only Specific Users
Administrators can now restrict access to the Video Conference to only specific users. This includes the ability to define who can create meetings and who can only attend meetings.

Update to HTML5 Video Conferencing System Released to All Zone – RC20200703 Released

Please keep in mind that the release cadence for the Video Conference has been increased to twice-a-month (or more) as we roll out capabilities on a more aggressive release schedule in preparation for the Fall.
- Improved Connection Management and Retry Capabilities
The Video Conference Platform now will perform individual connection-level retries to re-establish connections that may be on slower or high-latency connections. - Improved Firewall Traversal Capabilities
Capabilities to better traverse specific firewall and router configurations have been deployed. This should resolve several connection issues that users experience. - New Ability to Select Video and Audio Options from the Entry Panel
Now the Entry Panel has a new option to select Video and Audio directly before entering the Video Conference. - New Top Bar Audio and Video Selection Options
The Audio and Video buttons within the Top Bar now provide the ability to toggle between available video and mic sources.

- Improved Participant Management Capabilities with Integrated Virtual Classroom Tools
The Participant Management panel now offers an improved visualization of participant capabilities and roles. The Panel also now provides an integrated menu to manage mute settings, charge role and enable and disable media sources.
- New Mute Management Capabilities for Simplified Virtual Classroom Management
Meeting owners now have additional mute capabilities to better manage the number of speakers during a multi-person virtual classroom. New mute management capabilities include:- Mute specific participants
- Mute All participants with sub-capabilities to enable participants to subsequently unmute themselves

The release cadence for the Video Conference has been increased to twice-a-month as we roll out capabilities on a more aggressive release schedule in preparation for the Fall.
- Support for Up To 9 Participants on Video
The maximum number of participants on video has been increased to 9. Over the coming months, we will continue to increase this maximum. - 10+ Smaller Fixes and Improvements Including:
- Improvement to mute, no-sound and no-video icon sizes to be more consistent and sized to the video box.
- Improved handling of video source switching in instances where it is performed very quickly (or toggled).
- Resolved issue where copying the meeting link via the Copy Link button did no work on Chrome or Edge.
