      • Choose and Embed Media From Existing Collections

      • Upload Content Directly and Embed It

      • Record Content Using the Capture Tools

    3. Support for Multi-Embed in D2L Via On-The-Fly Playlist Generation
Similar to the multiple-embed capabilities added to the Media Chooser for non-D2L LMS’s, we are now adding support for D2L. Instructors can create on-the-fly video playlists by selecting multiple videos at the same time in the Video Platform’s Media Chooser. Users can select up to 12 video at-a-time to create their playlist in any D2L Content Item. Click here to learn more.

    4. Comprehensive Video Watch History

    5. Data Management Archiving Now Supports the Creation of Recurring Policies and Actions
As storage continues to grow for our customers, creating data policies and archiving content can be time consuming for Administrators during the busy school term. We’ve added recurring policies to our Data Management tools to help with that. Administrators can now schedule archiving policies to identify and take specific actions on data. This could include a policy to automatically delete unused transcodes. Click here to learn more about the Video Platform’s Data Archiving features.

    6. Blackboard Collaborate Enterprise Connector
By popular demand, we’re releasing our Blackboard Collaborate Enterprise Connector to make your Video Platform the central repository for all media content generated in the Video Platform or outside using products like Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams and Blackboard Collaborate. Content from Blackboard Collaborate will automatically import into the Video Platform before being optionally deleted (to free up your Collaborate storage and reduce costs). Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to learn how to deploy this new SKU. Click here to learn more about the Blackboard Collaborate Connector.

    7. Personal Auto-Caption Dictionaries
A new Personal Auto-Caption Dictionary is available for users – that complements the existing Organization-wide Auto-Caption Dictionary – to help users improve the accuracy of their video’s auto-captions for irregular or uncommon words. The AI Captioning engine uses the dictionary to improve the identification and spelling of words defined by the user. Click here to learn more about populating the Personal Auto-captioning Dictionary for individual users.

    8. Notifications and Alerts
With so many new notifications for Video Conferences, Live Streams, Video Quizzes and more, it can be difficult for users to keep track of what’s completed and what’s outstanding. Now users are able to mark those notifications as read to help prioritize remaining events that require the user’s attention.

    9. Archiving Event Notification Toggling
In our previous Video Platform release, we added a new notification to alert users when their content was archived by a System Administrator using the Data Management tools. In this release, Administrators can disable the notification if they do not want to alert users of the archiving event. Click here to learn more about all of the Video Platform’s email notifications.

    10. Geo-Location Analytics Now Available in Content Analytics
To help Content Creators track the usage of their videos, we’ve added Locations to our comprehensive Content Analytics report available under Usage & Analytics. Previously only available in User Analytics, the geo-location analytics data helps inform Content Owners where in the world users are watching a specific video. Click here to learn more about Content Analytics.

    11. Admin Panel Responsiveness for Small Screens
With Administrators constantly on the go and using devices with smaller displays, navigating through the Admin Panel can be frustrating as text and charts don’t always auto-resize when the user zooms in and out of the web browser. We’ve added additional support so that the Admin Panel remains responsive for all users regardless of the size of the display or the amount of zoom. Please note that this is an ongoing project with additional improvement being delivered in upcoming releases.

    12. Better Color Accessibility for Charts and Graphs
As we continue to drive improvements to the accessibility of the Video Platform for every person, we’re refining the UI so that users with visual impairments can more easily review charts and graphs. 13. New ASR Language Support Packs including Vietnamese
We’re adding Vietnamese as an available language for auto-captioning videos spoken in Vietnamese. This adds to our growing list of support language including English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Finnish, Portuguese and more. Click here to learn how to request auto-captions for your video.

    14. More Accessible Inline Dialog Titles
To assist users who use screen readers to navigate in the Video Platform, a new menu title is visible at the top of the Media Details panel and other inline dialogs. This text can be “picked up” by industry-standard screen readers.

    15. Additional Third-Party Hardware and Application Integration APIs
New APIs allow third-party tools to pull video thumbnail images, individual video streams, check for Device statuses and more. These new APIs were released to support our partnership with Epiphan, Extron, PlayPosit and others. Click here to learn more about available Video Platform APIs.
    16. Enable LTI 1.3 For Specific LMS Courses
We now make it possible to enable Video Platform integration for specific LMS courses using unique Deployment IDs. Previously, Organizations were only able to enable LMS-wide integration using LTI 1.3. Reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager to learn more.
    17. Blackboard Media Chooser LMS Extension Integration Improvements
Recent structural changes to Blackboard have required that we update our Blackboard Media Chooser LMS Extension to continue supporting a seamless integration experience during specific actions such as Course Copy. Reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager to download the newest LMS Extension.
    18. Refined Support of Canvas Media Chooser for Multiple-Embed Scenarios
The Canvas Media Chooser LMS Extension can now “sense” which Canvas rich-text boxes support multiple-embeds and which ones do not. This ensures instructors correctly embed videos in a way that aligns with Canvas’s capabilities. Reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager to coordinate the update of your Canvas Media Chooser LMS Extension.

This ensure that user information isn’t passed from the LMS or SSO into the Video Platform until the student accepts the Terms and Conditions. Analytics Canadian Zones European Union Zones General Platform HTML5 Video Conferencing Video Editor Video Quizzes

We have successfully released an update of the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform to all instances in the European Union and Canada. A corresponding release will be deployed to United States instances in one week.

    1. Video Lifecycle Management with New Data Retention and Data Policy Management Tools
Administrators have new tools to manage data retention including the ability to create data policies. Policies can be created with customizable rules including identifying unused data, older content, and specific content types. When executing policies, Administrators can review matching data, preview content, purge content, as well as aggregate it into an Archive Folder. In future releases, we intend to provide tools to offload Archive Folders onto offsite or AWS-side storage locations. We encourage you to try your data management workflows and provide us with feedback on future improvements you would like to see.

    2. New Auto-Captioning Engine with Better Accuracy and Room Acoustic Models
The Video Platform now provides a new auto-captioning engine that offers higher-quality auto-captioning. This auto-captioning engine also operates better in larger lecture halls and in situations where the microphone may be further away from the speaker. We encourage you to enable Model A in your organization’s Admin Panel and try it out for yourself.

    3. Video Editor Now Provides Clearer Indication of Trimmed Captions
The Video Editor provides an easier interface to edit captions while simultaneously making trims and cuts to the video (which naturally affects the caption time-points). The new Video Editor interface includes a color indicator showing which caption entries will be removed, which will have an invalid timestamp (post edit), and which ones will remain valid.

    4. Increased the Maximum Video Size to 1TB
By default, all Video Platform instances now have a maximum single file size of 1TB. For a basis of comparison, that’s about the combined size of two hundred and fifty, full-length HD movies.

    5. User Interface Improvements to Browser Capture Studio
Updates to the Browser-based Capture Studio include improvements to the compatibility across web browsers, minor improvements to the capture workflow, and better messaging once a recording is complete.
    6. New Media Chooser Behavior for Blackboard and Moodle Students
The Media Chooser is once again useable by student roles. Following changes to Blackboard and Moodle’s security model, student roles were unable to embed content. Now, the Video Platform will detect the role and place a permitted link into the chosen LMS region.
    7. Sub-Organization Now Supports Auto-Provisioning of Shared Folders
Organization Management capabilities now include the ability for sub-organization creation to automatically create a Shared Folder matching the hierarchy of the Sub-Organization structure.
    8. Performance Improvements to UI Screens Displaying and Filtering Large Volumes of Users
Several web application screens which had slightly sluggish behavior when filtering against ten-of-thousands of users has been improved. This included the Link Users within the Zoom Enterprise Connector and the Admin Panel’s Overview and Roster tabs.
    9. Pre-Quiz Error Messaging to Quiz Takers with Browser Settings That Prevent LMS Gradebook Sync
Users who are likely to have browsers or browser settings – such as disabling third-party cookies – that could prevent LMS Gradebook synchronization of quiz results will now see an in-context LMS message preventing quiz entry. This is aimed at reducing the chances that a student takes an LMS-embedded quiz without being able to transmit the resulting quiz grade to the LMS Gradebook.

    10. HTML5 Video Conference Now Has Improved Screen-Reader Support
A minor update to the Video Conference web application interface addressed a number of screen-reader issues related to missing alt-text for UI components.
